Latest Updates from Our Project:

Starting the next phase
about 7 years ago – Tue, Mar 21, 2017 at 06:19:14 PM

Ok, the backerkit pledge manager SHOULD be ready tomorrow and I will keep you posted.

There will be a couple options on the tiles:

1.  8.5"x11" Grid/Grid - can ship out right away, but are more complicated to fit together (with the 1/2").

2.  8"x11" Grid/Grid - Longer lead time May or (at worst) June.  Easier to fit together.

3.  8"x11" Grid/Hex - Longer lead time May or (at worst) June. Easier to fit together.

Also, all of our products are available as add-ons including Isometric Paper (not on the market yet).

Thank you for your overwhelming support!

Another update to make sure we are on the same page!
about 7 years ago – Sun, Mar 19, 2017 at 09:27:17 PM

These are some comments I responded to and want to share to make certain we are all on the same page.

Erik Bauer 15-time creator just now

For multiple sets domestically it is (sets x $15) now or you can add them in backerkit afterward. For multiple sets internationally it is (sets x $25) now or added later in backerkit after the campaign closes.

@marvin Fulfillment date of next month is good if you want the 8.5"x11" with grid on both sides. If you want to wait for 8x11 hex/grid or grid/grid will add some time (hopefully no more than one month). You will be able to pick the style in backerkit after the campaign ends.

@Geoff, sorry, don't look at the comments too often (my bad). Multiple sets internationally are $25 each including shipping. Thank you and sorry for the wait.

@david - we tried several different colors including red and all of them erased after 48 hrs. Not certain beyond that, but we will continue testing.

Thank you!

Thank you 5x! Hexes!
about 7 years ago – Sun, Mar 19, 2017 at 09:06:11 PM

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for your support!

So many people have mentioned that they want hexes!  Unfortunately,  I have a hiccup on that front, but I also have a solution.  Because the tiles are 8.5x11 they need to be double sided to be easily swappable.  So, would you mind it we went to 8x11 and added hexes to the flip side?

If you want hexes please vote below by saying "8x11 with hexes".

If you are against this idea please vote below by saying "Heck No".

Adding hexes MAY add another few weeks to the delivery times too.  Please keep that in mind too!

We are testing Dry Erase today and will keep you posted in the comments!

Our campaign only has three days left!  Please help spread the word!

Thank you again!

Wet Erase and Final Day
about 7 years ago – Sun, Mar 19, 2017 at 04:32:12 PM

First and most important - Thank You again for your support.  I am overwhelmed by the support for Gaming Paper and I am excited to be able to bring this product to you!

We did a one day and two-day old wet erase test and both wiped off perfectly!  One concern I have is that if you get the compressed cardboard to wet it could be ruined.

This being our finally day I would like to ask you to share the campaign with friends and family on social media if you have the time and desire.  This will help us make our initial order as large as possible and reduce our cost.

Thank you!

Hex and Wet Erase
about 7 years ago – Sun, Mar 19, 2017 at 12:07:30 PM

After reviewing the 72 responses to the hex question so far, it looks pretty evenly split.  I am leaning toward making it an option.  So, you could get all square or square/hex, but it would have to be 8x11 instead of 8.5x11.  I do have quite a few 8.5x11 still packaged from the sample run and if you want those instead of 8x11 I can send them.  It is better to make them all uniform going forward so they work together.

So, let's make this official - you can get hex on one side and squares on the other -or- squares on both sides.  Thank you for letting me know your thoughts on this!

Wet Erase markers work VERY well.  We have been testing it today and wipes away totally clean.  We left it on for a few hours and it wiped off fine.  I am going to leave the marker on overnight and for a few days, but the tests look good.

Thanks

Erik
